"It's great that this album tries and nails a couple of new things, but even if it didn't it would remain a top drawer heavy hardcore record; with a compact 25-minute runtime, it generally requires at least two listens every time just to fully experience all of the thrills it has to offer. It's a great shout for a summer soundtrack especially - if we ever get one in the UK that is - and there's no doubt at all that it'll be even better live so definitely don't miss that if and when DRAIN come to your town".

"Drain har udgivet deres nyeste plade - 'Living Proof' - til en stærk modtagelse, og det med god grund. For det er en plade, der på en og samme tid er moderne og klassisk og trækker tråde tilbage til 80'ernes skateboards og slåskampe, og som deler sin kærlighed mellem både punken og thrashen. Til god effekt".

"Paying homage to the bands that came before, Drain deliver a fairly faithful cover of Descendents' Good Good Things amongst their cathartic cacophony, but they too look to the current blending of hardcore and hip-hop culture by introducing rapper Shakewell on Intermission. Such dexterity within and admiration for the genre they inhabit sets Drain apart from the ever-growing pack, and Living Proof might just be the best record yet to spawn from a scene that still hasn't hit its peak".
