"After a couple high school bands, time in Chicago's avant-garde jazz scene, and two albums with her adventurous indie pop group Ohmme, as well as numerous collaborations as backing singer, string arranger, and violinist (Chance the Rapper, Eddie Vedder, and Cloud Nothings, for starters), Macie Stewart presented her full-length solo debut, Mouth Full of Glass, to domestic audiences in 2021. A year later, this expanded, international version of the album marks her Full Time Hobby debut ... The resulting songs reveal an intricate and venturesome chamber folk of a much more intimate nature than that of her band".

"Best known as one half of art-rock duo Ohmme, the Chicago musician turns towards lush, baroque-tinged folk on a solo debut with a reverent approach to self-knowledge and growth".

""I am a garter snake/Blending my color with you", sings Macie Stewart on the opening track of 'Mouth Full Of Glass', an image of furtive camouflage that suggests not everything is as lovely as it seems in this pretty chamber-pop garden. Half of Chicago experimentalists OHMME/Finom and a touring musician with Japanese Breakfast, The Weather Station and Claire Rousay, Stewart sets about pushing up the earth under these delicate folk orchestrations and prog madrigals with subversive skill ... 'Mouth Full Of Glass' isn't about to blend into any background, its colours too bright, its patterns too bold".
