"Time will reveal if someone, somewhere is in possession of tapes that showcase one of Britain's most respected live outfits in clearer, more user-friendly form. These 41 tracks have their aural faults, but the lack of pristine fidelity doesn't radically diminish their worth, nor their evocative powe".

"The 44-page booklet by Christopher Hjort is very detailed, especially since he had little access to information. When paired with the music, the argument can easily be made for completists, though this collection should also appeal to any serious blues fan".
