"Melbourne artist realises her potential on debut album ... Putting out singles is, of course, a different exercise to releasing a debut album, something not lost on the singer given that she spent a year-and-a-half constructing Ecca Vandal. That the record contains only one previously released song ("End of Time") suggests she resisted the urge to rely on past glories, and a good thing too, for this is a vibrant, dazzling collection of new tunes".

"Rising Australian star provides one of the year's brightest debutsEcca Vandal's debut album is a game of two halves. The first is a bruising, brutal collection of party anthems and the latter a restrained, synth pop-tinged breather. Either way, Ecca totally nails it with relative ease".
