" ... his most dynamic singing yet on record. That's saying something because his award-winning self-released efforts are excellent too ... a terrific soul album. Dave Keller will get some BMA [Blues Music Awards] notice again with this one".

"These are songs and performances that clearly emanate from élans of true musicians, the soul of a man, and as well, from the here and the now. Stellar, Mr. Keller".

"Geller's songwriting on this effort fall squarely into the soul blues category, and if you like folks like Robert Cray, Delbert McClinton, Bobby Bland, Curtis Salgado, and even late 60s Temptations, this album definitely deserves a listen. The songs are well-crafted, the performances solid, and the vocals strong and evocative ... With a little luck, this will be an album that gets noticed come award time, because it certainly deserves to!".

"Keller, the soul bluesman in northern New England, made a smart move in recording an album in West Texas with producer Jim Gaines and Catfood Records' superb houseband, the Rays. Keller sings and plays guitar with personality, displays good craft and technique and does lots of deep soul-plumbing. Yet, his greatest asset might be a keen understanding of how his songs need to tell a gripping story".
