Love never dies

"Simply put, the songs aren't there and the dark emotional milieu of the original has been lost in favour of confusion. It's not as loveable and not as shattering in purely musical terms. That's not to say that it's without highlights, but it gives Lloyd Webber a problem: phans will rejoice, but most likely alone".
