"The whole point of doing acoustic versions is usually to lay bare the material, deconstructing it down to its roots, but for the most part, Acoustic feels a bit too polished and adjusted".

"Some of these quiet reworks are extremely good indeed; all highlight Burchill's prowess with an acoustic guitar. Regular drummer Mel Gaynor was Hitting Things Loudly elsewhere, so percussionist Cherisse Osei sparingly adds the lightest of touches. Glittering Prize and Someone Somewhere In Summertime both glide as ethereally as their electronic forefathers. Alive And Kicking, shorn of its bombast, is delicate and catchy".
