"While its sonic template might be a million miles away from the one now associated with tenty-first-century psych rock, the New Psychedelia movement bridged the gap between post punk and what's since gone on to be known as "classic indie". Tune in, turn on and freak out!".

"The bands that fell under the psych revival banner were a broad church, with feet variously in the goth, post-punk, indie and mod camps. What they had in common was a purist devotion to recreating the past - some more slavishly than others. Another Splash Of Colour, named after a scene-setting 1981 compilation, is brimful of music that throbs with the energy of new-found love, as the musicians - limited to finding obscure psych and freakbeat in record shops - understandably sought to create their own counterparts".
