Another time, another place

Description

Summary: Warnes' new album reunites her with her co-producer and great friend and collaborator Roscoe Beck, the long-time musical director and bass player for Leonard Cohen. The same partnership made the landmark 1987 album Famous blue raincoat. With glorious production and performances, and of course, impeccable vocals, this album features the cream of the crop of songwriters including Eddie Vedder, Mark Knopfler, John Legend, Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks, and more.

"Warnes co-produced the album with her longtime collaborator, Roscoe Beck. He knows her, and knows her strengths and is able to make sure these are highlights of the album. They both know how to pick the perfect songs too ... the music does not overpower Warnes, and her voice becomes another instrument. She has emotion in her breath and it has been too long since her voice has been heard.".

"... Another Time, Another Place is return to the world after a prolonged period of solitude and grief. Warnes offers these songs with the same aplomb, grace, discipline, passion, and dignity that she has displayed her entire career, and imbues these songs with new shades of meaning in the process".

"Warnes is now 70 but the voice is as mellifluous as ever on this, her first album in 17 years".
