"`Century Plaza' sees all the greats of the synth-pop and original electro shown respect, if a little too closely at times - but damn, it's some somber fun. If Sartain decides to stick with the electro route only time will tell, but hats off to the man for trying something new".

" Guitars and live drums are largely gone, replaced by synths, keyboards and a whole heap of noir, supposedly inspired by 1980-84 Brit synth-pop and US veterans like Suicide. Sartain has always had a wry sense of humour and a broad musical palette, so it might be easy to see Century Plaza as some kind of jokey pastiche. But that really does a disservice to the skill and love for the cold, hard music made here".
