"We bash the mind-controlling fascism of religious institutions, but we still get all squooshy at the smell of a Christmas tree. And maybe that's okay. Sure, Christmas Songs is a goof, it's a gag, it's a wicked little joke to play on your mom when she asks you to put some music on while she trims the tree, maybe that one with John Denver and Miss Piggy. But I betcha I'll be playing it next December, and the December after that. And you will too. Hey, don't judge. It's Christmas".

"Rather than subverting culture, the band goes one step further, subverting the expectations of listeners by performing the songs without irony. Most surprising, however, is how well these songs work with Bad Religion's driving and melodic style and Greg Graffin's distinctive voice, showing that these songs' ability to endure for so long might have more to do with their solid songwriting than with the machinations of any church or corporate entity".

"9 sange på 19 minutter er alt, der ligger i julesokken, men det er rigeligt. Julefreden er jo relativ, og det klæder en klassiker som 'White Christmas' at få en punket hovedrengøring med en melankolsk undertone".
