"This album follows much the same formula as the previous 12, but this time round there's an even more exotic soundscape and more experimentation. It starts with the sound of crickets and a poem (in French) read by Robert Wyatt, who reappears adding scat vocals to the drifting title track".

"French world music vets Lo'Jo celebrate 30 years together with this their 12th album ... 15 years back with album number three, Mojo Radio, (...) all the Lo'Jo-ian elements were firmly in place: lead singer Denis Péan's smoked growl offset by the purity of French-Algerian backing vocalists the Nid El Mourid sisters, unusual instrumentation, imaginative arrangements and an open-minded, globally embracing range of influences earthed with strong roots in French chanson. And I'm pleased to report that we get more of that here, on their best recording for some time. Brighter and more focused than of late, with strong melodies and a cinematic sweep".
