"While its creators are well-known within the confines of the folk community and it will be warmly received therein, this is a record that deserves to break out of those bounds to a broader audience. Come What May sneaks up on you; it can surprise listeners with its informal yet precise melodies and the seeming effortlessness of the trio's playing. Jones, Berryman, and Jones have created something special and timeless here".

"Having released a baker's dozen albums between [1969 and 2006], Wizz Jones has suddenly come up with three in the last seven months. Hot on the heels of his collaborative albums with John Renbourn and Ralph McTell comes his first to share equal billing with fellow guitarist and singer Pete Berryman, and a welcome return for son Simeon on saxophones, flute and harmonica. Whilst Berryman was a key figure in the mid-1960s Cornwall folk scene lovingly recalled on the Ralph 'n' Wizz record, this one evokes an earlier time and place - when the new guitar music that would soon intoxicate British folk and blues audiences was still fermenting in the darkened corners of Soho's jazz clubs ... Due tribute is paid to the towering influences of both Bert Jansch and Davy Graham with Simeon's son Alfie Jones adding another layer of guitar to the former's "Moonshine" ... Wizz's Broonzy thump and Pete's Django chordings somehow fit together perfectly, with Simeon's reeds and woodwind andthesublime guest vocals of Anne Sumner completing a wonderfully unhurried album, full of mutual respect and musical empathy".
