"The first band that I thought of as I gave the album its initial virtual spin was Saigon Kick, such was the fusion of grunge-fuelled heaviness and keen melodies, but, as I got deeper and deeper into the record I was oft-surprised at some of the soundalikes thrown about my mind as I listened: the Gene Simmons-fronted eighties KISS of 'Time Everytime'; the White Zombie-isms of 'Superstar'; the Mansun-esque lush hooks in 'Long Ago'; the almost Queensryche feel to single, 'Til The Dust Is Gone'. A mixed bag for sure, and one that stings of a collection of songs created in the studio rather than thrashed out in the rehearsal room, but there is much here to love".
