Elvin Bishop's Big Fun Trio

Description

Summary: The follow up to Elvin Bishop's "Can't do no wrong" features Bishop's down-home delivery, deep blues picking and slide guitar, playfully meshing with Bob Welsh's piano and guitar licks and Willy Jordan's soul singing and propulsive cajón playing. The album's laidback, front-porch vibe mixes four rollicking Bishop originals with three co-writes and five raucous, well-chosen covers.

"Bishop doesn't waste any time breaking out the big fun on his latest. With Willy Jordan (...) on vocals and Cajon, and Bob Welsh (...) on guitar and piano, Bishop whomps out a trough fulla rattly boogie infused blues that makes you believe you're a member of the guitarist's herd with an additional set of legs to prance about on ... This one is advertised- big fun,and plenty of it".
