"Man muss "Der Postzug oder die noblen Passionen" oder "Die Jagdlust Heinrichs des Vierten" nicht kennen, aber dass Antonini die Sinfonien mit Lust am theatralischen Effekt spielen lässt, macht Freude. Die Musiker des Kammerorchesters Basel beherrschen ihre Instrumente exzellent. Sie spielen Haydn enorm farbig. Nichts klingt altväterlich oder angestaubt, alles ist flexibel, emotional und raffiniert".
