"The Texan attains ecstasy through both aggressive and mild rigor. And, boy, can he sing".

"Blues fans who might have been put off by the heavy pop-style production heard on most of 2012's 'Blak and Blu' (...) will be relieved - and surely elated - by the raw, rock 'n' roll-infused blues music the tal, 30-year-old Texan serve up on his magnificent two-disc follow-up. There's no watering down this time around - just Clark and his tough, ultra-tight band (...) cutting loose on one blues or blues-imbued number after another".
