""Curated" by himself, McCartney III Imagined is a classy set of remixes from assorted studio alchemists that allows Macca to experiment further by proxy. There are predictable hits (Beck's dance-friendly Find My Way), a surprise miss (Damon Albarn lost in the mists of Long Tailed Winter Bird), and arresting successes (3D of Massive Attack with a 10-minute makeover of Deep Deep Feeling, from squelching house beats to long, shimmering fade).".

"Of course, the path to pop-cultural currency looks much different now than it did 60 years ago, when McCartney was logging his 10,000 hours in Hamburg. But as this whole two-part McCartney III experiment proves, what hasn't changed is Macca's commitment to putting in the work to stay relevant-even if he has to occasionally delegate some of the tasks".

"The Beatle showcases charming reworks of his recent album, with kaleidoscopic input from Beck, St. Vincent, Josh Homme, Anderson .Paak and more ... `McCartney III: Imagined' is another fine entry into the self-titled collection. The sheer star-power and respect from contemporaries and newbies is another flex that proves the endeavour, which started over 51 years ago, was a worthy one".
