"Det er stadig en slank hybrid af soul og electro, de fritænkende svenskere præsenterer, men nu har det Prince-agtige swing måttet vige pladsen for et udtryk, der smager mere af Janet Jackson. Bandet har taget den samme varme som den kvindelige amerikanske soulstjerne og givet den en overhaling. Væk er al pastiche, og i stedet står den på levende og lavfrekvent bas og brede synthflader. Ligesom vi er vant til at høre til Little Dragon - cool og tilbagelænet. Om end lidt kedeligt i længden".

"It all meanders a bit too much, sacrificing melody for mood with the result that the album doesn't hang together as well as it should. The album's first half of Pretty Girls, Underbart and Cat Rider all sound gorgeous but also rather similar, with only the sparkling synths of Paris giving a welcome jolt. Little Dragon never slip into blandness exactly, but you do sometimes find yourself longing for a bit more energy of the type provided by Klapp Klapp or the title track. But Little Dragon are to be applauded though for constantly evolving and embracing new sounds and directions".

"The writing, playing, and production is predominantly the work of the group on their own, with two collaborators playing small but significant roles. Dave (of De La Soul) co-wrote "Mirror," as well as one of the other darker highlights, "Killing Me," a slowly swaying kiss-off in which Nagano seethes, "I'll take my rocket ship and get the hell outta this/Nothin' that I'm gon' miss." That song, along with the satisfying closer "Let Go," was co-produced by Robin Hannibal (Quadron, Rhye). Subtract those contributions and this would still be the group's most accomplished work".
