"This Original Album Classics release bundles the O'Jays' first three albums for Kenneth Gamble and Leon Huff: The O'Jays in Philadelphia (first released on the duo's Neptune label in 1970, then reissued on their Philadelphia International in 1973), Back Stabbers (1972), and Ship Ahoy (1973). Three singles from the solid first album either cracked or threatened to reach the Top 20 of Billboard''s R&B chart, while the other two albums - featuring "Back Stabbers," "Love Train," "Time to Get Down," "For the Love of Money," and "Put Your Hands Together" - are masterpieces. The three discs are individually packaged within a thin cardboard sheath".
