"Not everything clicks-the lazy Latin shuffle "Del Rio You're Making Me Cry" edges too close to Jimmy Buffett territory-but there's enough that works to make this an effective posthumous effort that even perfectionist White would have been proud of".

"Tony Joe White ...

"The bittersweet title cut opens & the distinctive Tony Joe White vocal is there with a George Harrison-type guitar. Maybe the rest is filler? No. "Boot Money," crawls in equally compelling. The 9 originals are solid. Many engaging & catchy. This is a treasure trove of remarkable pieces from a stellar songwriter's imagination".

"Everything fans liked about Tony Joe White is here, perhaps not as raw in some places as many would like, but it's a batch of good songs spiced with a couple of outstanding gems that leaves one wondering how they never made it to an album".
