"Overall, the most amazing aspect about Somersault is that it still has that bedroom-composed feel. While Payseur has matured dramatically over the last decade, he still manages to consistently produce records that reflect his roots and he highlights just how easy it is to create a catchy, successful LP without the needs or complications that, quite frankly, ruin a lot of high-end pop music today".

"Somersault is a huge leap for Beach Fossils and includes some of Dustin Payseur's most nuanced songs to date, with features from Slowdive's Rachel Goswell and Cities Aviv".

"This is likely not the third record Beach Fossils circa 2010 had envisioned, but the group are honestly all the better for it. They've always had an ear for melody, and here, the shimmering soundscapes put that gift on full display. The result is a compelling, immersive addition to the Beach Fossils catalogue, an effort that chronicles a band truly freeing themselves and expanding outward".
