"In what is a very acceptable stopgap between studio albums, Torrini here teams up with intriguing Belgian ensemble Colorist Orchestra ... If the notion of an attuned singer dusting off old material to the accompaniment of self-created musical instruments floats your boat, then by all means step aboard".

"Throughout, the Colorist add textures, like the twinkling percussion on "Serenade," expanding on Torrini's creations. She in turn reacts to the shift, swapping the more hushed and breathy vocals of some of her recordings for a sharper performance ... it's a worthy showcase for Torrini's excellent body of work and achieves a level of quality that many live recordings fail to reach".

"This live album of new songs and interpretations of Torrini's catalog is a vibrant, colourful collection of classical and contemporary collisions ... The orchestra certainly elevates some aspects of her songs, but cannot replace the powerful solitude of Torrini's solo recordings".
