"For her second album, The Space Between, Alice Boman returns to and slightly expands upon the sparse, intimate atmospheres of her debut LP while keeping volumes low and vocal performances whispery and close to the mike ... The closest thing here to a track that one could imagine being played through speakers instead of headphones is "Where to Put the Pain," which fashions a skittering ambient pop still very much in line with the rest of the album's design, for a set that's very unlikely to disappoint established fans".

"Boman's mastery of the meditative moment deserves to be more broadly known. Working again with producer and musical contributor Patrik Berger, she continues to poke at the boundaries of what it means to be unhurried ... That The Space Between manages to broadcast a sunnier lyrical disposition than its predecessor with hardly a blip in the pulse of its delivery gives promise that Boman will continue to grace us with her minor key charmers, rain or shine".

"In the end, The Space Between is a reminiscence of what was, what has been, and what will be, all at once. The outer space for her is vast yet intimate, daunting yet beautiful, and she beckons us, quite restlessly, to discover the miraculous beauty of it".
