"The Canadian-Serbian singer/songwriter looks inward and pushes her folk-pop further ... The album leans heavier into an avant-pop direction with a vintage glow, reminiscent of peers Aldous Harding and Renata Zeiguer. Moog-heavy pop standouts sit alongside piano-forward tracks with poise and connectedness. Much of the record is shrouded in a reverberant sonic fog, cultivating the introspective, dreamlike state that Gavanski tapped into during her days estranged from her voice ... A step forward for the artist after a more guarded debut".

"Woozy psych-folk remains her default setting, but there's a fresh sense of experimentation at play here, exemplified by songs like "The Reaper", built around a clanging guitar motif, and the impressionistic "Knowing To Trust", which dissolves into a spinning reverie of wordless harmonies and piano. "Indigo Highway" marries Gavanski's mellifluous voice to a synth-pop pulse, like a dream-folk Kraftwerk, while "The Day Unfolds" feels suitably processional, expertly decorated with flourishes of jazz".
