"Stirring together two 1967 BBC radio sessions plus a live recording in the Radiohuset, Stockholm from September of that year, Where The Poppies Grow accordingly doesn't stint on Winwood-centric thrills. That voice conferred conviction and dignity wherever it landed; and the supernormal sophistication of his phrasing on Dear Mr Fantasy and No Face, No Name, No Number frankly smacks of dark magick ... The fidelity is generally excellent - and even when it isn't, as in the BBC version of Coloured Rain, the dreamy, enveloping murk is a warm front blown in by radiogram valves".
