Engang var Pusha T og Malice, tilsammen Clipse, fremtiden indenfor hardcore hip hop, der ville mere end bare synge om penge, vold og kvinder på en bund en syntetiske beats. Men siden er Clipse blevet overhalet indenom af blandt andre det purunge Odd Future-kollektiv med Tyler the Creator i spidsen. Det er da også Tyler der lægger vokal til albummets bedste track "Trouble on my mind", der ellers gæstes af hot shots som Kanye West, 50 Cent og Young Jeezy. For Pusha er kommet på Kanye Wests G.O.O.D. Music-label, og derfor er Pusha nu mainstream så det basker.

"This is ruthlessly professional rap music, and though that might seem like the baseline for releasing a major-label rap album, 2011 has been an awful year so far big-box releases. Pusha may be a fish out of water performing on a weepy Kanye ballad or being in a crew with John Legend, but releasing a major-label album with consistent rapping, great beats, a rational guest list, and a sane running time qualifies as a minor miracle right now".
