Summary: Ecofeminism is an emerging field of literary study which seeks to explore the interconnections between feminism and ecology, green studies and market economy, and globalization and the politics of care. It also examines the idea of nature as a mother figure, and the world being begotten by the celestial intercourse between Nature, the Mother and God, the Father. This branch of study is taking center stage in the realm of gender studies, but it is yet to develo.
