"His might just be an ordinary-sounding name, but the musical works that he has come up with as a member of his band, in his many collaborative musical projects, or as a solo artist, as well as his guitar-playing and songwriting prowess are more than extraordinary ... 1000 Hands is certainly a majestic sonic experience, especially for enthusiasts of Progressive, Folk, and Classical music".

"Jon Anderson surprises his audience with a well-written, arranged & performed journey that reinvigorates his solo career. Alongside dozens of special guests including Squire, Howe, White, Cobham, Corea, Ponty and more, the true secret sauce of this gem lies with the core house-band of Michael & Tim Franklin and Tommy Calton. They set the framework to allow Anderson to do what he does best. Among the dizzying array of styles, the joy and genius of Jon Anderson shines through every pore of this recording and may cause many thousands of hands to applaud his success".

"This list of musicians is impressive (...). All this would be for naught if the music wasn't good but 1000 Hands is the most enjoyable solo album I've heard from Jon Anderson since his 1980 release Song Of Seven ... 1000 Hands is a fine recording that fits in well amidst 21st-century progressive pop recordings. 1000 Hands gets my heartfelt applause".
