"There is a warmth, joyfulness, and sly humor to Bahamas' sound here that keeps you listening even when Jurvanen turns toward melancholy sentiments, as he often does. Ultimately, it's that juxtaposition of front-porch balladry, lyrical intimacy, and urbane studio savvy that makes Bahamas Is Afie so unforgettable. As Jurvanen opines on "All the Time," "I got all the time in the world/Don't you want some of that?" ".

"Vurdering: B" - "Whatever trope he's employing at any given moment, he's always in control, methodically coaxing different pieces of his melodies as though he's wooing a shy girl in the most cerebral, systematic way possible. The work's emotional resonance and honesty, however, is what will stick in listeners' ears after the last notes fade away. While Jurvanen's third album as Bahamas, Bahamas Is Afie, is sometimes disjointed, it's also often entrancingly lovely".

"Melankolien pibler langs melodiernes smidige linjer, men der er også glimt i øjet på en sangskriver, der kan slå fra blød country og lejrbålsfolk over i den langsomme funk på 'All The Time' og åbningslinjen: »I got all the time in the world/don't you want some of it?«. Sunget med en klangfuld stemme. Det lyder som en person, man skal hænge ud med her, mens dagene bliver kortere".
