"The early 90s rave scene produced a cavalcade of breakneck breakbeat obscurities, which have yet to be adequately compiled. Soul Jazz's latest goes a little way towards correcting that, slinging in hands-down classics such as Krome & Time's "Ganja Man", DJ SS' "The Smokers Rhythm" and Jumping Jack Frost's "Burial" to balance out the less well-remembered Morse code melodies. The choppy nature of the tunes from this era was probably always going to be smoothed out in time, which is a shame, as they were often inventive in a way which the genre rarely manages now".
