"This documentary was shown on the BBC recently under the name Together and Apart. The strange thing is, despite their huge success as a group and solo careers for Peter Gabriel and Phil Collins, it is hard to get excited about their career. That is most likely down to the bog standard style in which we are taken though their history in chronological order. Album by album they discuss the groups musical progression along with a few journalists offering an overall assessment".

"First shown on the BBC in a shorter form, Sum Of The Parts is a straight chronological telling of the band's lengthy career (with detours into solo work), in which every member speaks openly about the motivations behind the music and, in the case of Anthony Phillips, Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett, why they chose to leave. Gabriel and Tony Banks are remarkably honest about their clashes during the making of The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway, the singer's magnificent obsession that ultimately led to his departure".
