The idea that Adolf Hitler’s political philosophy and world view were deeply influenced by Richard Wagner has been around since World War II and has gained wide-spread circulation. The book presents the words Adolf Hitler spoke or wrote about Richard Wagner regarding issues of political philosophy and world view. The author concludes that Adolf Hitler said almost nothing about Richard Wagner as a source of influence or inspiration. Hence the subtitle “A very thin book”. The entire Wagner/Hitler “thesis” rests upon fewer than a dozen Hitler “quotations”. The book traces the history of those "quotations".
