" Pate's first two albums, both great and firmly connected to soul with a modern and emotionally naked perspective, topped the R&B/Hip-Hop chart and went Top Five pop, yet a pair of its singles barely touched the Hot 100. Released while K. Michelle: My Life was nearing the end of its second season, More Issues Than Vogue wisely sticks to roughly the same makeup of Pate's first two albums".

"Now best known as a reality star from "Love & Hip Hop," K. Michelle proves on her new release she's more than just two dimensional. More Issues Than Vogue is contemporary R&B at its best".

"There's no moment that brings her musical talents to question, with her voice shining on every track from the fluffy pop of All I Got to the album's ballads. It lacks the punch and sheen of Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart?, and its aim to put her many talents on show does further impair the album thanks to its messy layout and some oddball tracks. Taken in its entirety, however, More Issues Than Vogue is no less compelling than her previous work, even if it's not quite as strong as a complete entity".

Vurdering 3.5/5.
