"Genius is a term that certainly should not be thrown around lightly, and in order to reach that heightened status level, you must go through much struggle. However, it is the term that best describes the musical endeavors of Devin Townsend ... Overall, this live album captures all the great moments Hevy Devy is known for, but the beauty of his artistic mind is that it is constantly fluctuating, so no two experiences are ever the same. Even if you cannot understand the complexity of this man's mind, you can certainly appreciate the hard work and dedication it must take to reproduce this type of skilled volume in Heavy Metal".

"A band unparalleled in skill even by Devy's standards finds itself unshackled only to converge with furor that's somehow matched by his lovably grotesque sense of humor. Spirits indeed collide, and in so doing they somehow deliver on the bold promise of this album's title. Like I said, rejoice! ... Part comedy show, part sandblasting, and 100% intense, "Order of Magnitude" offers one of the most engaging concert listening experiences of recent years, and irrevocably demonstrates yet again that Devin Townsend is the Frank Zappa of heavy metal".

"Devin Townsend with the Empath album and this live recording of tracks from that album and other deep cuts from his musical career, has shown himself to be the embodiment of Frank Zappa within heavy metal. It is music full of challenge and breadth of vision, that in an apparent wall of sound, contains a classical music sensibility, and subtle musical shifts, combined with the passion and drive of metal ... It is impossible to do nearly two hours of music justice in a review. You just need to hear it for yourself, and you will undoubtedly become a convert of both Devin and metal".
