"When Gal Costa abandoned bossa nova for Tropicalia in the late 1960s, she began uding Os Brazões for live backing. Led by the enigmatic Miguel de Deus, who would later cut the influential Black Soul Brother LP, the quartet's own work was grounded in samba, but with layers of psychedelic rock on top and Barrett-like Pink Floyd a tangible influence. This collectable debut album has interstellar numbers such as Modulo Lunar and Feitiço, with plenty of wah wah work and screeching solos, made more interplanetary by echo and delay".
