"Animal Collective har fire medlemmer, men besætningen varierer løbende. Således er det kun Avey Tare, Geologist og Deakin denne gang. Fjerdemanden Panda Bears fravær betyder, at de mere poppede og vokalharmoniske vaner efterlades på land, mens trioen stiger ned i kong Neptuns rige med en rigt vandmetaforisk musik. Vanddryp, svuppen, ekkolodder, undersøiske guitarer, boblende synth, musik der snorkler, flyder, dykker. Men også lyden af menneskelig tilstedeværelse, af maritime stålklange og Avey Tares stærkt ekspressionistiske vokal i noget, der kan lyde som en dykkerklokke".
