Roger Miret og Vinnie Stigma er henholdsvis første- og tredjegenerationsindvandrere, der fandt sig en ny familie i New York i 80'erne og skabte en scene, en genre og en livsstil ud af det. Konsekvensen af det kan man bevidne i 'The Godfathers of Hardcore'. Det er en visuelt smuk film. Det er også en rørende film. Og det er et passende monument over et band, der lever deres egen historie".

"The Godfathers of Hardcore takes us from Agnostic Front's beginnings amid the junkies, street gangs and derelicts inhabiting New York's Lower East Side in the early Eighties right up today, as the band heralds its third decade with a new world tour ... The Godfathers of Hardcore does two things brilliantly: It vividly depicts how Stigma, Miret and their band members and New York hardcore co-conspirators were forced to forge their own surrogate family.
