[Thornetta] Davis, probably the more nuanced of the two, is her usual smooth-yet-brawny self, supple and emotionally rich, capable of everything from full-bore testifying to flirtatious impishness as the occasion demands ... she also proves herself a more than capable pop balladeer ...
