"If you're a sucker for BIG horn sections, or something like the sounds of UB40 and Groove Armada, still have a 'lickle ting' for Bob Marley and Finley Quaye records and your Pops obsession with Two-Tone (as do we all surely), then you're probably going to like Addis to Omega from Dub Colossus produced by Dubulah aka Nick Page. An album of skatalitic reggae dub delights, all sepia tinged in Studio One nostalgia with some heavy nods to Ethio jazz ... No two tunes are alike, there's something unique to every track on Addis to Omega with some fun surprises. For the ardent jazz fans, ok this isn't chopstick waving music, but hair down please, the sun's out and sometimes even vamps get tired of nightclubs. Gwan play some Dub Colossus and hydrate with a cool libation".

"The latest from former Transglobal Underground/Temple of Sound man Nick Page aka Dubulah's Dub Colossus project is an appealingly quirky and socially conscious mix of dub reggae, jazz, Ethiopian and other global sounds ... The soulfully toned PJ Higgins takes the lion's share of the vocals, but there's also room for Dubulah's old TGU bandmate Natacha Atlas (on the excellent The Shape Of Things To Come), former Steel Pulse/Reggae Philharmonic Orchestra person Mykael S Reilly, Yat-Kha main man Albert Kuvezin (...) and veteran UK reggae toaster Joseph Cotton ... The deep easy roll of dub pervades everything here, but is tempered with Dubulah's righteous anger at the rancid mess created by those who rule our lives ... Addis to Omega may not have the clear focus of Dub Colossus' previous Ethiopia-meets-dub releases, but that openness brings its own rewards (...), if you're prepared to go with the attractive flow".
