"While it's difficult to find flaws in the actual vocals of featured artists, or even the positively charged messaging throughout the album, Bible Of Love does lack a sense of direction. In one moment, Jazze Pha is speaking about haters over a trap-infused beat and in the next moment, Patti LaBelle is re-imagining Thomas Whitfield's "I Shall Wear A Crown." While his intentions may have been pure, Snoop's attention to the assembling of this album needed a little more love".

"As suggested by its title, Snoop Dogg Presents Bible of Love is not so much a Snoop Dogg album as it is a collection of tunes by gospel, blues, R&B, and hip-hop musicians handpicked by Snoop himself. Presiding as musical minister over this congregation, Snoop recruited an impressive roster of the faithful, hopping on only nine of 32 tracks while allowing his guests to express themselves with minimal intrusion. Without profanity or suggestive content, Bible of Love focuses on uplifting and earnest dedications to Christ and personal transformation through faith".

"Some wonderful singers feature, including the Clark Sisters and Fred Hammond, alongside a raft of unexceptional rappers. Yet, given Uncle Snoop's supposed journey from pornography, pimping and murder into the glory of God's kingdom, it's dispiriting that so much material here is boilerplate encomia, feebly incurious about sin and repentance".
