Helen Frankenthaler lived and worked in the epicenter of the New York School and created her groundbreaking abstract soak-stain pictures in the early 1950s. The focus of the publication are the painterly constellations on the medias canvas and paper. Over 70 works on paper - from the late 1940s to the early 2000s - are juxtaposed with an exclusive selection of paintings from the individual phases of Frankenthaler's artistic oeuvre.
