"Even after prep work by Mayall himself and remastering by engineer Eric Corne, it's an understatement in the liner notes to describe the resulting sound quality as "certainly not high fidelity." ... On this collection of tracks , captured at various British clubs in late winter, spring and early in the summer of love (which kitschy preoccupations are notably absent here), the Godfather of British Blues and his band are almost pure feeling on cuts like "Double Trouble" and standards of the idiom such as "Stormy Monday."".

"A heretofore unreleased collection of live tracks that include the version of the band with three soon-to-be Fleetwood Mac founders ... This isn't a high-fidelity, sonic experience, but as an historical document it fills a gap in the record. And the performances are inspiring for their energy ... These live tracks find the quartet working thorugh some of the standard tunes for the band at the timeand many feature extended improvisations ... 'Live in 1967' is a worthy entry in the catalog, especially for completists or those who don't mind trading less-than-perfect audio fidelity for the opportunity to step through a time portal to witness the performances of this fleeting but ultimately influential lineup".
