"Erja Lyytinen is indeed the `Queen of the slide guitar' and if her old school meets nouveau blues sometimes confuses her 100 Club audience, it says more about the conservative nature of central London gig goers than a band that is willing to be adventurous and take chances, especially when a recording live set such as this. A triumph".

"The slide work on `Let It Shine' is outstanding, couple that with her warm and sultry vocal and she really does draw you in, I even involuntary leant forward in my chair while watching it. Watching it??? ... At times this is both a mesmerizing and inspiring performance from Erja and I will be watching her closely from now on".
