"A legendary reinterpretation of Antonio Carlos Jobim's music for the Harold Robbins thriller. This killer session (...) has it all: sex, drugs, jazz'n'roll and abstract funk, and has been a favoured DJ tool since its emergence on the weird soundtrack scene in the early 90s. Sampled by Björk for Human Behaviour, often bootlegged and even retitled, it's great to have it reissued legally".

"This album is a nice reinterpretation of the film's original score here adapted and arranged by the legendary Quincy Jones and performed by the Ray Brown Orchestra ... For the casual soundtrack fan, it might be dismissed because it is a jazz based work and scores such as these are unfortunately are written off or dismissed off the bat".
