"Odyssey opens with one of the most vocally-challenging songs on Altered State, "Of Energy - Singularity," immediately affirming Tompkin's vocal prowess and ability to fill O'Hara's shoes. The live album also includes "Of Matter - Proxy," "Of Matter - Retrospect," "Of Matter - Resist," and "Of Mind- Nocturne" from Altered State. The remainder of it is comprised of material from One. While I enjoyed Odyssey, it didn't convey the sheer massiveness that is TesseracT's live performance. Thankfully, Scala, which sees the band performing the same set list as contained on Odyssey, achieves that goal".
