"Albeit thirty-years away from its very first predecessor and seven years from the last one, Buffalo Tom's new batch of usually melodic and emotionally inspired Alternative Rock ballads and stompers is as refreshing and engaging as the American band's memorable songs from the previous decades. Nevertheless, the equally compelling lyrical themes of Quiet and Peace prove also that Janovitz, Colbourn, and Maginnis with their music have been able to remain rustic but relevant at the same time amidst the ever-changing landscapes and dynamics of Alternative Rock music".

"Seven years on from their last studio offering Skins, all is well in the world of Buffalo Tom, the New England power trio still full of verve and vinegar. Having spent most of last year touring the 25th anniversary of their high watermark Let Me Come Over album, their new batch of songs often draw from bygone elements that will please long-term fans".

"Buffalo Tom are still looking for answers on Quiet and Peace, even if the questions aren't quite the same as they once were, and they clearly believe that rock & roll still means something important. Buffalo Tom are still firmly in control of what was best and most important in their music, and Quiet and Peace is a fine reminder of why they mattered then, and why they matter now".
