"Top of the world" - "Québécois supergroup Le Vent du Nord return with their tenth album having recently become a quintet with the addition of fiddle player André Brunet. Much else is the same, and thankfully so: great tunes, both composed and sourced from across Francophone Canada, top instrumental performances of tight arrangements, and - most importantly - much joie de vivre ... Close-harmony singing and call-and-response vocals, always in French, remain a hallmark of Le Vent du Nord's mix".

""Territoires" is Le Vent Du Nord's ninth album (...) and they play and sing here with a swaggering confidence. Not that much has changed in the core values of the band's albums over the years ... What has happened is that the approach has broadened ... The quality of recording, programming and care with mixing and the attention to detail has improved along with the increase in the band's status and wider recognition. The instrumentation has been widened so that the piano playing of Nicolas Boulerice is given a more prominent part alongside his hurdy-gurdy playing. Whilst the singing has always been good, it feels as there is now more concentration on its impact and thought given to arranging the vocal harmonies ... None of this (...) has affected the sense of excitement which is associated with Le Vent Du Nord albums".
