Tribute to Ndiouga Dieng

"De senegalesiske veteraner har med pauser været på banen i et halvt århundrede, og den intakte kerne bestående af saxofonisten Issa Cissoko, bassisten Charlie Ndiaye og percussionisterne Balla Sidibe og Mountage Koite spiller stilfuldt videre. Den senegalesiske mbalaxtradition føres her ud i livet med en sans for tilværelsens blide og langmodige rhumba, der giver musikken en patina, som på 'Fayinkounko' og den caribiske 'Natalia' kan minde om Buena Vista Social Club. På Orchestra Baobabs første album i en halv snes år er koraspilleren Abdouleye Cissoko en ny hånd, der med frisk energi bekræfter traditionens faste greb om Orchestra Baobab".
