Samtidig veksler musikken nummer for nummer. Fra soul-jazzen på "Judge me" over den country-agtige "God I get it" til den erotiske synth-funk på "Something in the night". Et af årets bedste r&b-albums i 2014.

"The success of Rebellious Soul showed skeptics what serious R&B listeners knew years before K. Michelle became a reality television star: that she was the real deal ... Like Rebellious Soul, this blends contemporary and classic styles, with the latter incorporated naturally, not as a forced authenticator".

"At the end of the day, the only statement that this album set out to make was this: K Michelle has progressed exponentially from her first effort at a music career. It is true to say that she has a great deal, but there can be a weak case for the opposing side. K. Michelle has taken huge strides in diversifying her musical tastes and her subject matter, but she suffers with the same issues she had on her last album".
